'Vaginas make me think of Tina'

That's a quote from my friend Mari-Anne, who sent me this skookum url for these hilarious and incredibly beautiful vulva puppets. That's kind of odd, out of context, I'm sure, but when you get a little background, its not so strange.

MA and I met about a decade ago, in the early days of the WWW. Change your pad was a yahoo group I had started for the evolution of a collective I used to operate. I sold a unique and effective design of a cloth pad for women's personal hygiene needs and published a small zine that was specifically speaking to the women who were wise enough to appreciate such a product. There's much more to the story but you'll have to wait for the book.

Suffice it to say that its easier to make the connection between vaginas and me.

This is the the url for the vulva puppet.

The title for the blog is 'Every Little Step I Take'. Ironically, my massive size has caused me to be having some challenges in the 'steppin' department because I can't find boots my size.I have swollen size 13 feet, ankles that fluctuate from thin to meaty at the drop of a gram of HFCS in my diet. My amazon self has become a canary in a coal mine as I respond to alien food products like crazy. So today, when I checked the local specialty boot store, I got told they had nothing. Nobody makes shanks with a 23 inch circumference, especially in my size. Why must it be necessary this incarnation that my physical self push the boundaries of normalcy?

Anywhoo... I got to work all miffed when the last salesclerk shot me down with a 'Don't know what to tell you'. I left the house all psyched that I was finally getting boots for the winter to go with all my nifty clothes.

Sigh. Every little big footed step I take, in sandals, runners or men's shoes all winter.

I took off of work and sauntered over to that groovy little shop on the other side of the Bay Centre and bought $10 worth of $2 earrings.

That felt better.

That is the theme for the photos I'm posting in this installment.

And enough blathering. Now for the goods...

READY?

SET!

GO!

Now, here's the quiz... why do vaginas make MA think of lil ole me?
(This is me modelling the gold hoopdy doo earrings)

The view from our balcony on a sunny September evening...

Ciao wanted me to capture his deep look.

These twinklers are little stars...

Lovely little shells flutter on little chains...

Look at my dazzling dimple, do NOT look at my fishtank...

These ones were hard to photo wearing them. They had a life of their own.

And then it was sunset...

The last of the light...

 A big container ship...

Good night, lieblings!!!

  3. I agree with MA. Vagina's make me think of you :)

I'm sorry you are haivng such a hard time finding footware. I have trouble and I'm only a size 10 with large calves. I had to have my winter boots made in England and shipped. Not cheap but nice to have boots that almost reach my knee and that I can wear with a nice skirt.

    Love your new sparklies :)
